Next Steps

This is how we Grow together.

To truly feel like you belong to a community, you have to be plugged in. Navigating life together is what God intended for us. Through spiritual mentorships, supportive and caring diverse friendships, and multigenerational connections we can reach our God-given potential.

Growth Track

Your journey starts here. Growth Track gets you on the path to get connect at Capital Baptist. We’ll help you get plugged into your faith, find just the right group for your current season of life, and help you get connected on our serve team.

Get Started

Here at Capital, community is everything. This world is easier to get through with a support group and community of like minded believers in Christ that are willing to come alongside you. We thrive while chasing careers and kids together. You can too. Not everyday is sunshine and roses but we have our joy through Jesus and we have each other. We would love to call you family in Christ.

Are you ready to make a decision to follow Christ?

The only way to find forgiveness from God and to begin a relationship with Him is to trust in Jesus’ sacrifice for you and repent—turn from your sins. We urge you to take this step of faith today. To do that, simply talk to God—this is called praying—and tell Him you believe in His Son. We suggest a prayer like this:

"Dear God, I know I’m a sinner, and I ask for your forgiveness. I believe Jesus Christ is Your Son. I believe that He died for my sin and that you raised Him to life. I want to trust Him as my Savior and follow Him as Lord, from this day forward in the fellowship of your church. Guide my life and help me to do your will. I pray this in the name of Jesus. Amen."

If you just prayed that prayer and accepted Jesus as your savior, we want to know about it. Take a moment to fill out the form below so we can celebrate with you!

The decision to follow Jesus and accept the free gift of salvation is celebrated in Heaven and here at Capital. Through supportive and caring spiritual mentorship, you can be sure you are going to heaven.

Baptism is an act of obedience and public announcement of the decision made to accept the gift of salvation and follow Christ. Jesus was our example in being baptized and we follow Him in believers baptism.

Becoming a member is stepping into the Capital Family and belonging to a community of people walking alongside you to navigate life together.

Finding community at church is so vital to your spiritual growth! When you open yourself up to others, you allow light to shine in some dark places. Sometimes we need encouragement, advice, wisdom, direction, or a place to confess. God knew that finding connection with other Christians is the avenue for those things. You can develop a feeling like you truly belong.

Therefore comfort each other and edify one another, just as you also are doing. (1 Thessalonians 5:11 NKJV)

So, how do you get connected?  At Capital, we find connections in GROWTH GROUPS.  Each group meets to discuss the Bible, fellowship, and grow closer to one another.  Many of our groups meet together outside of church for occasional events as well.
Find A Group

It is written for the church to be the hands and feet of God.  The church is us: people who love Jesus by serving others, parking cars, holding babies, praying with others, pouring coffee, and opening our homes and much more. In this, God transforms us and allows us to live up to our God-given potential. Serving provides us the opportunity to know more about how we are created: our likes and dislikes, what we can do well and what we cannot.

God fills in the picture for us. We discover more about our purpose and how He is growing us while He uses us to meet the needs of others. We learn best by doing.

Every week at Capital, we are given the opportunity to practice putting our attention less on ourselves and more on others. God weaves a beautiful relationship between both working in us and through us.

Your Gifts

You have God-given potential. You have spiritual gifts to make a difference. We are all diverse, but can work together to impact our community.

Whether in the church, community project or a mission trip overseas. You can be sure that it matters.

Invite your friends and family. As we are connecting with God and others, we want to share Jesus with everyone. As you have found a home here at Capital, help others to find community, purpose and God too.

Evangelism unites all nations, races, tribes and cultures and here at Capital, we strive to do just that. We do it through local community outreach and supporting missionaries around the world.

Invite Someone

God has called us to worship.

1Make a joyful shout to the Lord, all you lands! Serve the Lord with gladness; Come before His presence with singing. Know that the Lord, He is God; (Psalms 100: 1-3a)

Being a Christian is a lifestyle and not a title or just a Sunday morning appointment. The transformation that takes place is amazing . Through the practical teachings and caring support here at Capital, you can experience it too.
